Valentine’s Day went by a little too fast for you? Don’t fret, no rulebook says the magic expires in 24 hours. What better way to be hung up on this not-so-holiday holiday than setting heart eyes on a cute new ’fit?
In case you missed it, the fashion gods [insert Ariana Grande voice] manifested and finessed our wish to witness a Revere and KITA (a.k.a. Keeshia Felipe) collaboration, arriving just in time for love month. The Davao-based streetwear brand and the ’90s-inspired illustrator’s joint creation is a classic Revere logo tee, but transformed via a large backprint featuring a dreamy KITA illustration—in a heart-shaped outline to boot. It’s a mix of bold and whimsical, the kind of statement we’re down to wear all year round.
If the design somehow rings a bell, it’s actually inspired by Frank Ocean’s “Moon River” cover. “We intended to use KITA’s work to create our own interpretation of the song. It’s about the person you genuinely care about but who wants to go a different path. At the same time, reassuring them that whatever they’re up to, they’ll still be happy to see each other when they do,” the Revere team tells us. Meanwhile, the inspiration was a “no-brainer” for KITA as a huge Frank Ocean fan. “All I really did was sit back and [drown] myself repeatedly in that beautiful song and the artwork naturally bloomed to life,” she says.
Before ordering a shirt on the site—which costs P995 each—you can peep the dreamy lyrics of the track on the page describing the shirt. It comes in black and blue colorways, and a special sticker for your purchase. Now, isn’t that sweet?
