Go to Bataan from Manila in just 50 minutes

If you’re planning to explore what the historical province of Bataan offers to tourists this summer (looking at you, Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, Corregidor, Bataan World War II Museum, and Playa La Caleta), you may want to consider this new mode of transportation: ferry boat. It will spare your ass from the four to five-hour bus ride from Pasay City to the province.

The fast ferry is operated by 1Bataan Integrated Transport System. As of now, it has three trips from Mall of Asia in Pasay City to Orion Port and vice versa on weekdays. On weekends, it only has two. The terminals are only open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

As of writing, riders can avail of their discounted fare at P450 for one-way ticket until March 15 (regular fare is P799). Commuters are also given free shuttle service from Orion Port to Dinalupihan in the North Bataan and AFAB-Mariveles to the South. Talk about convenience and saving time.

MV XGC Express accommodates up to 108 passengers. It also has electronically-operated restrooms. Soon, it will offer free WiFi on board for passengers and a food kiosk for refreshments.
