This Filipino company’s making three types of fuel using plastic waste

Another day, another solution has been made for our great, big plastic problem.

ReconX is a Filipino company that transforms our accumulating plastic waste into something reusable: energy. They came up with a clean and close-looped patented system that takes our plastic waste and makes it into fuel. So far, they’ve made three types of fuel: diesel, kerosene, and gasoline.

Other than being a means for reusing plastic waste, these fuels from ReconX also offer a cleaner alternative to the fossil fuel we use every day.

The small energy company is co-founded by social entrepreneur, Mark Ruiz. He is also the president of Hapinoy, founding partner and board member of Rags2Riches, and co-founder and chief strategy officer of AwesomeLab.

Here’s to more eco-ethical companies in our future.
