The easiest 20-minute pork and bean soup for a rainy day

You can whip this up in less than half an hour, often with things in your pantry. You can use fresh beans or opt to use canned or bottled (which I did, purely for convenience).

INGREDIENTS

2 garlic cloves, chopped

1 small onion, chopped

3-5 tomatoes, chopped

2 tablespoons tomato paste

1 sausage, sliced

2 cans of red beans

1 cup red wine

3 cups water

PROCEDURE

1. Saute the onions until translucent. Add garlic, tomatoes, and sausage and saute for a few minutes.

2. Add the tomato paste and mix everything for a minute or two. Then deglaze with red wine.

3. Add water and simmer for about 15 minutes. Add cooked beans at the last minute and serve piping hot.
