MaArte at the Pen is already happening this weekend, from Aug. 10 to 12, at The Peninsula Manila. The fair aims to highlight the best in Filipino craftsmanship by featuring items like jewelry, fashion, accessories, and home items from local designers and artisans. Aside from unique items crafted by local communities, local flavors will also be put in the spotlight through the MaArTEA Afternoon Tea.
The Lobby at The Peninsula Manila will be offering pastries and savories paired with a collection of hot and cold teas by Tsaa Laya. Called the MaArTEA Afternoon Tea Collection, it features four flavors: Tropical Summer, which has mango, pineapple, and lemongrass; Lemon Ginger, which has tanglad, ginger, and turmeric; Pandan; and Java Banaba which has balbas pusa (Java tea) and banaba.
The tea collection is available at The Lobby this month until Sept. 5. Part of the proceeds from the Afternoon Tea will go to the Museum Foundation of the Philippines.
A series of talks will also take place during the three-day MaArte Fair at Salon de Ning. Local businesses such as Aranaz, Siklo Pilipinias, and others will take part in the talks:

Design innovations and inspirations for Aranaz and Siklo, with Amina Aranaz (designer and owner of Aranaz and Founder of SoFa Design Institute) and Clarice Eucacion (proprietress of Siklo Pilipinas)
Aug. 11, Saturday, 3 p.m.
Art as investment, with Tonico Manahan (Art Impresario)
Aug. 12, Sunday, 3 p.m.
Pre-Hispanic gold and their 2018 counterparts, with Victor Estrella (MFPI Grantee) and Knoi Esmane (director of Guild of Philippine Jewelers and Chief Creative Office of Hoseki)
