Senior citizens get free LRT-2 and MRT-3 rides this week

As a tribute to our elders, Light Rail Transit (LRT) 2 and Metro Rail Transit (MRT) 3 will be offering free rides for senior citizens from Oct. 1 to 7.

Seniors just need to present their senior citizens ID issued by the Office for Senior Citizen Affairs, or any valid ID that shows their birthdate to avail of the free rides, according to the Department of Transportation.

Take note of the following schedules for the availability of the free rides:

MRT-3 — 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

LRT-2 — 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
