A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, the dark side was a temptation to even the most noble of Jedi—and even heroines like Rey can’t resist the pull. That’s the case for the latest teaser of The Rise of Skywalker, at least.

In a special look for the nine-part saga’s conclusion, the protagonist’s arc presumably takes a turn with Rey garbed in black, while wielding a red double-sided lightsaber. Earlier scenes showed off her new lightsaber skills as she tore through trees, wielding it like a boomerang. The teaser also included a monumental battle between her and Kylo Ren, whose intense relationship has been described by Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy as “very, very complicated.”

The preview was initially shown to attendants of Disney’s D23 Expo held in Anaheim, California, and later released on Good Morning America. While The Rise of Skywalker is slated for a Dec. 20 worldwide release, Philippine cinemas won’t be able to catch the epic conclusion till Jan. 8, 2020, in light of Metro Manila Film Festival. We’re in denial as much as Luke in The Empire Strikes Back (say it with me, “NOOOO!”), but for now, we’ll settle with replaying this teaser over and over again.
