If there’s one cuisine that proves a challenge for homecooks, it’s Japanese. You’ll need not only the freshest ingredients (which we have to admit, aren’t always accessible in supermarkets), but also the skill and technique. To skip the hassle of shopping and preparing, you can order from these Japanese restaurants which are open for delivery.

Ooma

From experimental sushi to steak platters, The Moment Group’s Ooma can deliver their bold Japanese dishes to your homes. Have your fill of their ebi tempura, aburi maki and tuna maki. Order through GrabFood, Foodpanda or Lalafood. 

Tetsuo

It may be sweltering hot in the country now, but Tetsuo’s spicy chicken is worth the challenge. But if you’re not a fan of spicy food, you can opt for their karaage chicken or salmon bowl. Ippudo

You can never go wrong with ramen—especially if it’s from the world-famous Japanese restaurant Ippudo. Their Shiromaru Special (creamy 15-hour broth with pork belly chashu) and Karakamen (spicy tonkotsu ramen) are just some of the dishes you can now enjoy from the comfort of your own home. As of writing, they’re available for pickups only, but by May 11, they’ll be available on GrabFood. Check their Instagram for the contact details of the branches available for delivery.

Yabu

Katsu and katsu curry sets are all set for delivery from Yabu: House of Katsu. Choose from their pork, chicken or seafood katsu that comes with cabbage, Japanese rice and teriyaki sauce. Order by calling your nearest branch and arrange for a curbside or courier pickup. On May 11, Yabu will be available on GrabFood.

Motto Motto

This restaurant offers classic Japanese dishes including their Okinawa rice, sizzling garlic beef teppan and California maki. You can also order their souffle fluffy pancakes and all-day breakfast dishes. For delivery, order via GrabFood or Foodpanda or call them at 0926-0829190 for curbside pickups.

Gram Cafe and Pancakes

For a sweet and fluffy Japanese delight, Gram Cafe and Pancakes can deliver their light and airy premium pancakes with Osaka cream and maple syrup to your homes—just in time for breakfast or dessert. Order by contacting them at 0926-7017774 and have it delivered via your preferred courier.

CoCo Ichibanya

Curry lovers, it’s your time to celebrate. Coco Ichibanya is opening for delivery, as well as other UCC Ueshima Coffee Philippines brands like MOS Burger and UCC Café. So, other than an omelette curry meal, you can add some coffee and a burger for a full meal (with leftovers, for sure). You can order CoCo through Foodpanda or arrange for pickup via Lalamove.

Fukuhachi

Fukuhashi has the Japanese basics you need to curb your cravings. Good news for BGC locals: you can have their bento meals delivered to your homes. Others can come by their restaurant for pickup. Additionally, their Japanese grocery is open as well so you can stock up on all the ingredients if ever you’re planning on cooking your own meal. Soru Izakaya

Apparently, it’s possible to deliver hotpots. Soru Izakaya can deliver all the healthy ingredients and yes, even the equipment (grill, stove, tongs, plates and more) to your home. The riders will pick up the equipment again on the next day. Who says shabu-shabu experiences are only for restaurants? Additionally, those living in Timog, Tomas Morato, New Manila get free delivery. Order by filling up this form or contacting them at contact numbers found on their social media.

Koku PH
