Channel the `70s With the Flared Pants Trend

Whenever I picture `70s style, bell bottom pants always come to mind. It’s almost automatic that when a disco scene comes up, someone is wearing these with platform shoes and multicolored fringed top. And if recent runways were any indication, it looks like this style is making a comeback—but with a flared twist.

Looking at the Resort 2017 collections of Versace, A.W.A.K.E., and Rachel Zoe, we see how these pants can be worn in the workplace and even on casual days. We also spotted Camille Co and Laureen Uy rocking a pair recently. The style is like a cross between jeans and a mermaid-tail skirt. So you know that this `70s staple isn’t going anywhere and it’s not just worn at the disco either.

To keep up with the trend, we listed some pairs you can cop—ranging from denim to culotte-type pants.
