Be it the drugstore version or the high-end one, making sure your false lashes last more than one night is every beauty lover’s achievement. Between the gunk of mascara and dried up lash glue, you usually can’t deal with it. Good thing makeup guru and beauty label owner Huda Kattan recently shared her step-by-step guide on how she takes care of her false lashes on her blog.
In her blog post, she shares that this method helps her gets at least 20 uses out of her falsies. Not bad, right? And especially if you’re spending some serious cash on a pair of mink lashes, this is a tutorial we are bookmarking.

How to Clean Your False Lashes
1. Pick off the dried up glue from the base of your lashes using a pair of tweezers like the Tweezerman Neon Is Spot On Mini Tweezer. Available via SephoraPH.
2. Soak two cotton rounds with oil-free micellar water and put one lash in between for 30 seconds. We recommend the Biore Micellar Cleansing Water: Oil Control as it’s free from alcohol, oil, and colorants. Available at The SM Store, Makati.
3. Soak one tip of your cotton buds with micellar water. Go over the lash with it in gentle stroking motions. Repeat with the other tip until lash is clean.
4. Put your lashes in a case that can hold their shape. You may opt to use the box in which they came in or get a fancier box like the Precious Gem Lash Case from House of Lashes. Available online.
