Two Retail Brands Are Being Sued for Copying Rihanna’s Creepers and Slides

Looks like Forever 21 and Topshop aren’t getting away with their Fenty Puma dupes. Puma is suing both retailers for selling knock-offs of Rihanna’s creepers and slides.

TMZ reports that Puma’s lawsuit states that Forever 21 “is trading off of the established goodwill of reputable, name-brand companies, such as Puma.” They are also demanding for all the profits from the copycat shoes. Puma has also filed a similar lawsuit against Topshop last month, according to Nylon.

“We will continue to take action to enforce our global intellectual property rights both against other brands who seek to trade off our designs and reputation and those who trade in counterfeit products,” Puma said in a statement.

Rihanna’s latest collab with Puma just dropped last week. This includes pieces like slides, cropped crew neck tees, and long-sleeve sweatshirts in millennial pink and army green—all available on Puma’s website. Her previous collection was such a success that Puma’s sales boosted by over 17 percent in 2015.

That said, let this lawsuit be a warning to other brands who are attempting to dupe Rihanna’s pieces. Puma might just go “b*tch better have my money” on you.
