Your favorite artist’s favorite artist, Chappell Roan, just met your favorite drag queen’s favorite drag queen, Sasha Colby, and they both served “H-O-T-T-O-G-O” realness
If you are a Chappell Roan fan, you probably know her iconic line, “I am your favorite artist’s favorite artist,” the line that made even the “Queen of Drag” RuPaul a fan. But only real ones—and Drag Race fans most likely—know the origin of that audacious monologue.
“RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 15 winner and Miss Continental 2012 Sasha Colby famously coined the line “I am your favorite drag queen’s favorite drag queen.” Chappell uttered a version of this during her set at Coachella earlier this year.

In an Instagram Story, she said “Me saying I’m your favorite artist’s favorite artist at Coachella was a nod to her, how much I admire her, and how much drag is intertwined with my project. She is everythinggg 2 me.”
She also said in an interview on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” that it was a reference to Sasha, adding that the line hit her through the heart. “I was like, ‘I hope Sasha Colby one day watches me.’”

And that day has finally come. Even better, your favorite drag queen’s favorite drag queen even danced on stage with your favorite artist’s favorite artist at a show in Seattle last week.
In the middle of performing “Hot to Go!,” Chappell brought out Sasha in a skin-tight lace and latex number and her signature ponytail and even had her do its viral dance. Sasha then proceeds to do her signature hair flips and splits towards the end of the song. The 26-year-old singer-songwriter thanks her and they hug it out before Chappell announces that Sasha is her favorite drag queen, seemingly in disbelief that this day has finally come.
Sasha reposted a clip of the performance on TikTok, calling Chappell her daughter in the caption. On Instagram, the drag queen accompanied a series of photos with the caption, “We really did that @chappellroan!! Thank you so much for welcoming me on stage with you for this incredible moment.”
Now that’s mother—and daughter, two divas maximizing their joint slay.
