Erich Gonzales has turned down Xian Gaza’s (AKA, creepy billboard guy) coffee date proposal. Cue collective sigh of relief!
In an interview with ABS-CBN, Erich said she came up with the decision after reviewing all the information about Xian. “To be honest, regarding that issue at first, just like you guys, I was surprised,” she said. “Natuwa naman ako sa effort. As things unfolded, lumabas ‘yung mga exposé about him.” (I was delighted by the effort. As things unfolded, the exposé’s about him came out.)
“Parang naging uncomfortable ako (I felt uncomfortable),” she added. “After talking to my family and my closest friends, I decided not to meet him na lang.” See? Even Erich didn’t feel right about the gesture.
After the viral post, the self-proclaimed CEO also received flak for allegedly scamming several people, including actress Ella Cruz’s mom. Xian was also accused of using the date with Erich for a networking venture.
So how did Xian react to Erich’s response? By inviting everyone to his funeral. (Seriously, that’s not something you joke about.)
He also asked Erich’s ex, Daniel Matsunaga, to have tea with him. Is he expecting a bro talk to cure his “broken heart” or something?
Either way, we’re glad Erich dodged this seemingly sketchy guy. As for Xian, he better look for non-manipulative ways to catch a woman’s attention.
