From designing dresses for Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, and Nicki Minaj to conquering Paris Couture Week, Michael Cinco’s dresses are a staple in terms of diva glamour and fairy-tale dresses. In a short video feature by IN Magazine, he confims how he’s always envisioned this while giving us a peek into his atelier.
In the video, Michael also names his various inspirations from opera music, to travel, and even love. He also talks about how being offered to work in Dubai was “a big leap” for his career as he at that point hadn’t been to any country other than the Philippines.
When it comes to his meticulously beaded works, Michael says it all stems from the idea of commanding attention, “I always love to give drama to the women. They have to stand out. They have to be the belle of the ball.”
Case and point: Michael’s dress for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made international headlines as she walked down the Cannes Film Festival red carpet. Or just think about the wedding gown he made for Swarovski heiress Victoria Swarovski.
Bravo, Michael! Looking forward to how you make more fairy tales come true.
