BEHIND the scenes

It was extremely cold when they were filming the scenes in Korea and the hardest part for Eugene Domingo was playing Kimmy. “Dapat kasi hindi siya nilalamig. Pero ayaw na gumalaw ng bibig ko. Di na ako makalakad ng normal sa sobrang lamig. Di ko nga alam paano kami nakakilos eh.”

Ryan Bang’s real father plays his father in the movie.

Those plush airline seats weren’t as hi-tech as they looked—Eugene had to recline them manually.

Alodia Gosiengfiao accidentally punched Eugene in the face during one of the fight scenes.

Eugene was holding Kimmy’s designer bag wrong in the hospital scene. Someone had to signal to Eugene to turn it around so the bag could be identifiable. “Di talaga ako marunong humawak ng mahal na bag,” she said.

Eugene Domingo wore the creations of a number of Filipino designers in the film—Jan Garcia, Rajo Laurel, Joey Samson, Kaye Morales, Rhett Eala, Tatah Galias, Marlon Rivera, Maxie Cinco, Ferdie Abuel, Jerome Salaya Ang, Cay Cuasay and Oz Go. But some of her outfits were also from “the ever reliable Kamuning.”

When Eugene has to play Dora, she brings her dog Mufasa to the set. “It helps me with my acting,” she said.

Eugene’s double is actress Geraldine Villamil, Chris and Eugene’s college friend. She recently won Best Supporting Actress at the Cinema One Film Fest for her role in Six Degrees of Seperation From Lilia Cuntapay.
