Swipe These Metallic Shades on Your Lids Like Rihanna

rihanna

I’m always looking for makeup inspiration on social media. I try to see what beauty vloggers and celebrities are doing, so that I can test it out too. One celebrity I always go to is Rihanna. She always has something bold and exciting on, from striking purple lips to electric blue eyeshadow. Recently she posted a photo on Instagram wearing a smoky metallic eye look. It was a silver shade with brown blended in to make it a bit softer.

If you’re a fan of this shimmery effect, here are some eyeshadow palettes you can test out. They range from nude tones to more bold colors like green and blue.

theBalm Nude Dude

These nude shades are taken up a notch with the addition of glitter. You can mix the shimmery browns with the matte colors to give your look more dimension. You can also use a damp brush and apply the product on like a liner. Available at Beauty Bar, Central Square.

Kat Von D Serpentina Eyeshadow Palette

Urban Decay The Dangerous Palette

For an intense smoky eye look, try this palette from Urban Decay. It comes with six shimmer shades that range from emerald to deep violet. It also comes with their Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Greed to keep the makeup in place. Available on Calyxta.

W7 Lightly Toasted

If you want to wear metallic eyeshadows every day, this palette carries wearable shades. It ranges from light nudes to gold and silver tones. You can wear them throughout the day as they do not crease, even without a primer. Available on Beauty MNL.

Happy Skin Glam Squad Eyeshadow Duo by Juan Sarte

This eyeshadow duo is perfect if you’re on the go. You can throw it in your bag and apply when needed or touch up at the end of the day. It has a light shade that you can use as a base and a dark brown color that you can sweep all over your lids. Available at Glorietta 4.
