For its 43rd year, clothing technology students from the University of the Philippines Diliman stage another runway showcasing creations from the country’s up-and-coming fashion designers.
Organized by the UP Association of Clothing Technology Students (UP ACTS), HULMA: The UP BSCT Class of 2020 Graduation Fashion Show centers on the narratives of ten students, as they exhibit the aftermath of their fashion education—creations molded into shape through their time in the program.

The sartorial scene in the Philippines continues to thrive by the moment, and these young designers could just be the faces of local fashion’s future. Ten of these students are set to present seven looks, crafted under fashion’s four pillars (design, research, production, and management). This year’s featured designers include Marianne del Rosario of Cherry Jam, Kathleen Luna of Lulu & Nana, and Lorenz Capati of CV / VC for streetwear; Kat Estrella and Veronica Perote for avant-garde; Katcy Cabrera, Rafa de Guzman, and Janinna Santos for contemporary ready-to-wear; and Kate Evangelista and Joanna David for formal wear.
Catch HULMA on Jan. 19 at 6 p.m., held at the Metrotent Convention Center, Pasig City. Tickets are available through this link, regularly priced at P350 and P300 for UP students. For any questions, drop them a line at clothingtech.upd2020@gmail.com, or you can contact Rafa at 09152880048.
