Just two weeks ago, Nike unveiled a new Air Max 97 collection featuring five sneakers patterned after the Olympic rings. And now with just a few months away from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the sportswear giant has its eyes on the prize with the Nike Air Max 97 “Gold Medal.”
If you’re out running in the dark, then the latest Air Max 97 pair is a sight for anyone within your radius. Fashioned from gold mesh and leather, the sneaker features reflective 3M accents. The Air Max’s trademark curved design shines even more, with its gold topped with red accents on the heel tab, black lining, and an underfoot Swoosh.

A release date isn’t set in stone just yet, but expect the sneakers to drop before the 2020 Olympics kickstart—the main festivities will start at Tokyo in Jul. 24. If your bet on the game won’t win gold, at least you have these sneakers to flaunt.
