The event cancelations for the past two months have been non-stop. At this point, it would be more out of place to find an event that hasn’t been indefinitely postponed because of the COVD-19 pandemic. And as of last night, all mass gatherings including events have been banned by our national government.
At least, all the physical ones.
Club Matryoshka is now taking the music festival experience to a virtual space. The club is currently hosted on a private Minecraft server online, where ironically, no viruses are to be found.
After months of paving the way for our local gig scene, their first virtual music festival will be happening on April 26 at their private server. As co-founder Seadollar said in his interview with us for Scout 37, “We’re definitely finding more ways to enhance the experience and keep innovating with every gig. We’re all just here to have fun.”
