‘Cardcaptor Sakura’ is heading to Netflix this 2020

Calling all Y2K babies with Netflix accounts. Starting this June, we can binge an Anime sa Hapon classic. Get your Clow Cards ready—we can finally stream “Cardcaptor Sakura.”

The news came via Netflix app. It shows that the shōjo series will arrive on Jun. 1 on Netflix US. Netflix UK, Australia, or Canada will also receive multiple seasons of the series. As for its worldwide release, there are no further updates. But we can expect it to be available worldwide pretty soon after June.

In case you need a refresher, “Cardcaptor Sakura” is an anime series that ran from 1998 to 2000. It follows Sakura Kinomoto who finds a book of Clow Cards in a library. When she opens the book, Sakura accidentally unleashes the magical cards inside. That’s why she must catch these cards to avoid a worldwide catastrophe. She bands together with her friend Tomoyo and the card’s guardian Kerberos.

Anyone with VPN access can probably stream the anime early. But if you’re like us, we might need to do the waiting game.
