Bookmark this resource master list on today’s social issues

With the growing unrest in the world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the many things that plague society. While we want to do our part in lending a hand, we may not know where to start. Luckily, there’s a master list out there with the resources you need.

Making its rounds online is a Google Docs file titled “Masterlist,” containing a comprehensive collection of resources regarding different social movements across the globe. This includes local issues such as the Anti-Terrorism Bill, press freedom, extrajudicial killings, Lumad schools’ shutdown, as well as COVID-19 cases in the country. The list also covers topics abroad, including the Black Lives Matter movement and Hong Kong’s fight for autonomy.

For starters, each subsection includes primers on the topic with links to petitions and donation drives. Additionally, you can also spot some film and book recommendations—the Black Lives Matter section includes picks like “If Beale Street Could Talk” and Malcolm X biographies.

This master list is created by the same user behind Instagram @toughconversations. Their page aims to expand resources beyond the doc file, condensing all the info in even more detailed ways.

At this time, we all need to be equipped with the right info. Check out the full master list here.
