Bandai Namco is releasing two volumes worth of retro 8-bit games for the Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Old school gamers, this one’s for you.
The series is called Namco Museum Archives, and will come in two volumes. The Archives will include 10 titles, among which are tried and tested favorites Galaga, Pac-man and Battle City.
Volume one includes Galaxian, Pac-Man, Xevious, Mappy, Dig Dug, The Tower of Druaga, Sky Kid, Dragon Buster, Dragon Spirit: The New Legend, Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti, and Pac-Man Championship Edition. Volume two, on the other hand, includes Galaga, Battle City, Pac-Land, Dig Dug II, Super Xevious, Mappy-Land, Legacy of the Wizard, Rolling Thunder, Dragon Buster II, Mendel Palace, and Gaplus.
Both volumes will be released on Jun. 18. We may not be able to go out and play arcades like before, but at least we can carry these games in our handy dandy home consoles for now. Race you to the top of the scoreboard.
