You can now take Mobile Legends for PE at DLSU

College isn’t all fun and games. But sometimes, it literally is.

Five months ago, we wrote about eSports becoming an official college program at a local university. Now, other schools are taking their cue. In this case, it’s De La Salle University’s latest PE course: Multiplayer Online Battle Arena.

Posted by student and Twitter user @GeneMercadooo, the course offering of DLSU’s physical education department “focuses on a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) combined with physical exercise.” Students of this PE class will learn about interpersonal communication, teamwork, leadership and problem-solving skills—before the group turns into a heap of trash talk, that is.

Will quick breaks playing Mobile Legends finally count as homework? Will computer shop meetups become legitimate group work meetings (I told you so, mom)? Whatever the syllabus could include, DLSU students may want to load up their online portals now before “The Hunger Games” (i.e.: enlistment) begin, as this class might be a popular one.

This isn’t the first unconventional class the university has offered. Among DLSU’s mix are courses on “Harry Potter” and “Game of Thrones,” while other local universities have striptease aerobics and scuba diving—seriously, can we enroll too?
