Roque celebrates “beating” UP with an “authorized” Subic field trip

Right after proclaiming Malacañang’s (and the country’s “win,” as he clarified) against the University of the Philippines’ COVID-19 case prediction, Harry Roque received attention once again after certain photos made waves online, featuring the spokesperson visiting Subic Bay’s Ocean Adventure, sitting next to two dolphins.

Originally posted on the marine park’s Facebook, the now-deleted photo set also featured Roque without a face mask while in conversation with two persons. However, according to the spokesperson, no quarantine protocols were violated during the visit—but he did apologize to anyone who had been offended.

Roque clarified in a DZMM Telaradyo interview today that he passed by the marine park while on his way back to his Bataan farm. According to Inquirer, the spokesperson was given permission to travel due to his agribusiness.
