How do you make a good, generous heart part of the makeover? Problem is, you can’t.

 

At one chi-chi lunch, the women were talking about this high-profile socialite (she became such after marrying into wealth), who was the talk among hair and makeup stylists.

 

Known for her expensive jewelry, she engages the services of stylists, dragging them  out of town, to the venue of her event. Their work done, she made them choose how they wanted to be paid—in cash or in token?

 

Incredulous,  the stylists opted for cash. What a no-brainer. Styling is their work, and they work to get paid.

 

The proper—and classy—thing to do, said one matron at that lunch, would have been for the socialite to pay the professional fee—and give a token of appreciation.

 

Such stinginess would have passed unnoticed, if only the socialite didn’t stage huge, extravagant bashes regularly. A recent one was touted as one of the biggest of the year.

 

Again, breeding. No makeover job can fix that.
