OCTOBER 27, 2022

Now for good news from the design front, where Filipinos continue to do the country proud. Innovative young designer Olivia d’Aboville has been selected by no less than Elle Decoration Magazine to be among 25 international artists/designers whose work will be presented at the magazine’s 25th anniversary exposition at the Museum of Modern Art of Paris, which will run for a month.

Olivia represents the Philippines, and is one of only four women artists/designers chosen out of 25.

The grand opening of The Exposition “Generation Design” will be on Sept. 10 for the media at 4 p.m., and for Elle Decoration Magazine’s guests at 7-11 p.m.

Olivia is the daughter of Mindoro-based, French-born businessman Hubert d’Aboville and his Filipino wife Ara. She graduated from Duperré, a prestigious textile design school in Paris, in 2009, and had her first solo show at the Ayala Museum in 2010. Her works range from textile jewelry to sculpture and installation art.
