If you think the best way to spend Saturdays is going outdoors on a clear day, playing with your kids, watching them play and interacting with other families doing the same thing, little league baseball and softball are for you. Kids can have a major league baseball experience complete with knickers, umpires and coaches. You will know the names of all the players and you have the best seats in the house.
For over 35 years, the International Little League Association of Manila (ILLAM) has shared the love of baseball and softball with children ages four to 18. A volunteer association, ILLAM is affiliated with Little League Philippines and Little League International Inc., an American organization based in Pennsylvania which handles and supports Little League baseball and softball programs globally, and hosts the Little League World Series annually every August.
The baseball season runs from October of each year to February the following year. Team practices are held once a week after school and games are usually scheduled on Saturdays. Sign up for this season Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Colegio San Agustin covered courts in Dasmariñas Village, Makati. Come and register your kids and enjoy a fun season of ball.
