Wednesday Addams stars in this new Tim Burton live-action show

Tim Burton fans, resurrect.

An upcoming series from the original creator of “Beetlejuice,” “Edward Scissorhands,” and “The Nightmare Before Christmas” is here to give us some new twisted gothic fantasy on Netflix. A Wednesday Addams coming-of-age series focusing on her mishaps and misadventures, all happening at her spooky school.

According to Netflix, “Burton will also make his TV directorial debut on the sleuthing, supernaturally-infused mystery that follows Wednesday as a student at Nevermore Academy.”

Don’t confuse Nevermore Academy with Nevermore Elementary School, which appeared in the “Ghostbusters” franchise, but it’s pretty obvious it also got inspiration from gothic master Edgar Allan Poe’s poem “The Raven.” You can read it here.

We’re not so sure about the release date yet. But we’re all fans of the smart and forbidding Wednesday, so we have to standby for trailers (hoping they won’t disappoint).
