This viral soufflé pancake shop from HK will open in Manila this October

We all know those Instagram-famous Japanese soufflé but its other more indulgent cousin from Hong Kong is something worth trying, too. And the good news is you don’t need to go to Hong Kong (and line up) to taste that viral crème brûlée soufflé pancake as Am.pm is bringing their trademarked (yes, it’s trademarked) unique pancake flavors to Manila this October.

Am.pm’s base pancake recipe consists of eggs, Japanese flour, cream, zero preservatives.

Set to open at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay, the Mong Kok-based hit pancake chain will be bringing its famous soufflé pancakes which come in original, crème brûlée, matcha, chocolate, tiramisu, and black sugar flavors to name a few.

The crème brûlée pancake is topped with custard cream and caramelized sugar for a crackling exterior that comes pretty close to the real thing.

Am.pm was established in 2017 and is now run by three dessert chefs from Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. It is the first restaurant to create a souffleé pancake with an oozing center called the Lava Pudding Series (also trademarked).

Apart from souffleé pancakes, Am.pm will also have a selection of milk tea, smoothies, and soft serve ice cream all based on a seasonal menu, which they gave a sneak peek of on their Instagram page.

While details of its opening are yet to be finalized, we know that their store will be open from 10 a.m to 10 p.m. and they will be open to hosting events and catering.

Watch this space for more details about Am.pm’s opening.
