Animal Crossing Fashion Week and League of Legends x Louis Vuitton aren’t simply 2020 fever dreams—because in case you live under an internet-deprived rock, luxury brands and video games collabs are all the rage. And to no one’s surprise, Fortnite and Balenciaga got the memo and ran with it.
The fashion house and Battle Royale game recently unveiled their latest collaboration, featuring four of the game’s most popular characters (Ramirez, Knight, Doggo, and Banshee), all decked out in streetwear Balenciaga. Like their IRL runway counterparts, each ’fit comes with Balenciaga-trademarked gear, which now includes pickaxes, gliders, wraps, backblings, and more.
Unfortunately, as to be expected from any ol’ high fashion brand, mere mortals might have to sell off a limb or two if they can’t spare some change for a T-shirt worth over P24,800. The cheapest price tag on the list is a baseball cap, which costs $395 (or approximately P19,800), while the most expensive piece is a denim jacket with a whopping $1,290 tag (P64,800).
If you’d rather have mercy on your bank account, at least your Fortnite character can get those fire emoji-worthy ’fits for their hypothetical IG feed. Players can head to the item shop to cop their virtual Balenciaga starting this month. As a plus, players can also unlock two free collaboration-based sprays when they’ve completed Shady Doggo’s challenges, starting from Sept. 21 till Sept. 28. At least your pixel self got drip, am I right?
