Festival fave ‘Kun Maupay Man It Panahon’ is streaming this month

Did you skip last December’s Metro Manila Film Festival and missed out on a few gems? Well, we bring you good news, because the film gods have blessed you with a second chance: 2nd Best Picture winner “Kun Maupay Man It Panahon” is streaming this month.

The festival favorite will be streaming on virtual Philippine soil starting from Feb. 9 to March 6 on streaming sites Upstream.ph, iWantTFC, and KTX.ph. This follows after its recent MMFF stint, where the film bagged seven awards, including Best Actress (Charo Santos-Concio), Best Supporting Actress (MNL48’s Rans Rifol), Best Production Design, and 2nd Best Picture.

But before its local run, the film had already gained buzz on other sides of the globe. Known internationally as “Whether the Weather Is Fine,” the 2021 film has made the festival circuit in Switzerland’s Locarno Festival (winner of the Cinema e Gioventù Prize), Chicago International Film Festival, and Toronto International Film Festival, to name a few.

As he and his locale begin the slow trek to recovery, he searches for his significant other Andrea (Rifol) and mother (Santos-Concio) amid the ruins of the city.

“Kun Maupay Man It Panahon’s” virtual ticket is priced at P249, available through Upstream and KTX.
