MANILA, Philippines—Repertory Children’s Theater’s “The Wizard of Oz” continues its successful run at Greenbelt 1’s Onstage.

On September 30, Repertory held a special show which yielded a full house including more than 400 children who would have not otherwise been able to enjoy the show.  They were sponsored by individuals and entities who believe in RCT’s vision to educate and enthrall children through theater.

One such entity was Philstage’s Performing Arts Appreciation Program (PAAP) through a grant donated by the Telus International Community Board.  The PAAP sponsored 50 children from the Gawad Kalinga community sponsored by Telus.

Due to the continued clamor by children and their parents to experience quality interactive theater performances, RCT continues to hold special shows.

On October 28, RCT will hold a special Halloween performance at 2:30 p.m.  Audience members who dress up in Halloween costumes will automatically join a raffle for a show package for Repertory’s big musical, “Disney’s Camp Rock-The Musical,” to be staged from November 16  to December 16. The package will include four tickets to the show, an autographed copy of the program, a photo opportunity with the cast, and select souvenir items.

Co-presented by Velvet Channel and the City of Makati, this production is an enchanting adaptation of the all-time classic, with its wonderful music by Jeanne Bargy and Jim Eiler, and book and lyrics by Jim Eiler. (This musical adaptation is not based on the MGM film, nor does it include any of the songs from that film.)
