10 Super moments at the Jonas Brothers concert

Here are our favorite moments from the Jonas Brothers concert at the Mall of Asia Arena:

1. It must be difficult to be the front act of a really popular band, but Disney girl and Broadway performer Anna Maria Perez de Tagle made the most of her time in the spotlight, charming the crowd by speaking Tagalog and giving Pinoys and the Philippines a lot of love.

“Ako po si Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, isang purong Pilipino!” she said as the audience cheered. “It’s been 12 years since I’ve been back here. Maliit pa po ako noon … hanggang ngayon maliit pa rin.”

And when she sang a medley of OPM songs that included Jose Mari Chan’s “Please Be Careful With My Heart,” Rivermaya’s “Hinahanap-hanap Kita” and Moonstar88’s “Torete,” she said, “Talagang magagaling ang Pinoy songwriters, right?”

She added, “Ang saya-saya dito sa Pilipinas!” Yes, we were charmed, too.

2. Every time Nick’s face was flashed on the big screen. Seriously, when did he get so hot? It was a total Prince Harry moment—his sudden hotness caught us off-guard. And while we’re on the subject of Nick, Nick on the drums. That was hot too.

3. The mash-ups. “Fly With Me”/“We Found Love”? Who knew The Jonas Brothers and Rihanna would be a great combination? And “Feelin’ Alive”/“Feel So Close.” Whoever thought up this mix needs to give Mr. Schuester some pointers.

4. Every time the boys made the audience sing. It was beautiful, and not just because it gave our ears respite from all the screaming.

5. When Joe went down to get closer to the crowd.

6. The boys singing “Hello Beautiful” as the crowd sang along with them. It was a goosebump-inducing moment. Even more so when they segued to Fun’s “We Are Young.” It was a beautiful transition, one we were happy to witness.

7. Nick singing “Wedding Bells,” the song he reportedly wrote about his ex Miley Cyrus, who will soon be marrying actor Liam Hemsworth. Rumors say Miley knows it’s about her and that Liam’s annoyed, but that night, the only thing that mattered was Nick singing it. And we’re sure the fan holding up the “Niley 4ever” sign enjoyed it. We did, too.

8. When the boys finally sang “Lovebug.” It was such a sweet rendition. We already got a preview at the press conference the previous day, but it was just a different experience being surrounded by thousands of starry-eyed teenage girls, singing along while waving their glowsticks in the air.

9. SOS! That was fun. And the red and white graphics rocked.

10. The encore. “Jonas! Jonas! Jonas!” the crowd chanted until the  boys returned to play “Burning Up.” After the song, they lingered on the stage, bowing with their band and taking their sweet time during the curtain call. It was almost like they didn’t want to leave. We didn’t want them to leave either.
