MANILA, Philippines — This Christmas season when we tend to share in our most fabulous and grandest gesture we could think of for our loved ones, what could we possibly give them that they would definitely never have enough of? There’s love, and of course, chocolates.

To bring “lambing” or affection to its customers in this season of giving, Toblerone Philippines recently launched in the country for the first time its biggest bar yet, the limited edition 4.5 kilogram of the legendary Swiss bar Toblerone, which could be won for every P100 single receipt purchase at Toblerone Gift Hubs.

“We are thrilled to announce that every weekend starting December 16, we will be bringing the “lambing closer to  our customers with the launch of our Toblerone Gift Hubs, which will be opened in major malls around Metro Manila”.

Not only can customers purchase their favorite Toblerone variants, but customers will also have the chance to win one of the 50 4.5 kg Toblerone variant for every P100 single receipt purchase.

Bringing back the “lambing” has never been this easy, said Toblerone Philippines Brand Manager  Fren Lagman.

The brand manager talked about how they thought of stepping up its previous “Say it Sweeter with Toblerone” campaign as they want consumers to give their best and biggest.

For the launch at Eastwood City Mall in Quezon City early this week, Toblerone invited three celebrities for a storytelling session: Columnist and entrepreneur Twee Gonzalez; RocKed founder and writer Gang Badoy-Capati; and acress-blogger Saab Magalona.

The three guests shared their Toblerone memories and their own takes on “Pinoy lambing.”

For Twee, lifting a mood and spirit can be a chocolate bar away, especially when it comes from a loved one.

Gang, meanwhile, shared how Toblerone chocolate played a part in re-evaluating relationship choices in her youth.

Saab, on the other hand, talked about how a bite of chocolate calmed her down during her temperamental childhood years.

They also discussed the evolution of “Pinoy lambing,” whether today’s online chats carry the same weight as the handwritten notes during the earlier generation, and whether technology divides or bridges, among others.

For instance, in this era of social media and text messaging, communicating is so easy but it also translates for suitors that there are plenty of fish in the sea.

“I feel like because of technology, there’s so many ways to communicate with different people. For the boys, there’s so many girls, there’s so many choices. Whoever replies, that’s it. So if there’s someone who is really special to you and you don’t want to make her feel like she’s just one of the many you texted, show up and give her chocolates,” Saab said.

“We are proud to have esteemed storytellers such as Gang, Twee and Saab join us in our campaign to bring back more “lambing” in the everyday moments of Filipinos.
Everyone could use a little more love and sweetness in our lives. To have such three incredible women help get the word out on deliberate gestures of affection inspires our launch of the Toblerone Oversized Gift Bar- an ideal holiday gift for your loved ones, truly a classic expression of “lambing,” Lagman said.
