All the artists appearing at Fête de la Musique 2024

It’s Fête de la Musique’s big 3-0, and to celebrate this now-global music event, Fête de la Musique Philippines is putting together a vibrant, month-long festival on several stages across the country.

This free(!) music event brings together musicians and enthusiasts of every background and genre for a jam-packed (pun intended) month that truly fosters a sense of community.

“We started in 1994 and this event was just a solo venue with about 40 participants and three bands. And in the next 30 years, a lot has happened for Fête. The community has grown,” says Fête de la Musique Philippines project manager Sana Schiefferer.

Science class recap: June 21 is the longest day of the year, aka the summer solstice. And fun fact, Fête de la Musique has been held on this day since its very first edition in France. Truly no better way to spend the longest day of the year than have it filled with music, art, and community.

Fête de la Musique this year is set to expand its reach across the country. Across 21 locations, Fête and its partner producers will be hosting 40 pocket stages and 70 destination stages, making this possibly the largest scale of the event in its local history.

The pre-Fête event, to be held on June 16, highlights Fête de la Musique’s advocacy on the healing power of sound and music. Set to take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., the sunset gathering hosted by Lee Grane Musiq at the Ayala Triangle Gardens will feature a medicine music circle, ecstatic dance, and sound bath—all geared towards promoting music not just as something fun and entertaining, but as a tool that nourishes the mind, heart, body, and soul.

The main stage of this year’s Fête will take place at the Greenbelt 3 Park on June 21, featuring Shanni, Jason Dhakal and Lustbass, Sinosikat and Jose Miguel, Dwata, the Jewelmer Jazz Band, Any Name’s Okay, Morobeats, Autotelic, and Dilaw.

And because Fête is also an avenue for French-Filipino friendship and cultural exchange, this year’s Fête will also feature award-winning French DJ duo, Pfel & Greem of C2C. Pfel & Greem C2C will be performing at Mistral in Raffles Makati on June 20, and at the Greenbelt Main Stage on June 21.

FetePH30 event schedule

On June 22, Sonik Philippines will host an educational conference on the business, art, and trends in the music industry. This year, the conference is themed “Sonik Soiree,” happening at Astbury, Makati. The conference will feature a keynote by Gwen Sharp of The Green Room France, an organization that has been pushing for and supporting efforts in environmental and societal improvements in the cultural sector. Some interesting discussions in the conference will delve into the role of music festivals in driving environmental change(!) and—this is for the influencer aspirants—how to become a sustainable role model in the music industry. (Honestly, sign us up.)

Dynamic and exciting pocket stages will take place a week later, on June 28, at different venues all over Poblacion, Makati City. There are around 40 pocket stages happening simultaneously, featuring a wide range of genres and moods:
