MANILA, Philippines–The trailblazing beauty competition Miss Resorts World pageant promises a Victoria’s Secret-inspired presentation for its third edition this year.

Now transformed into a modeling search, the contest seeks a spokesperson for the Resorts World Manila complex in Pasay City who will also appear in the property’s various promotional campaigns and grace major events and activities.

Last year’s winner Princess Abella will turn over her title during the final competition at the Newport Performing Arts Theater at Resorts World Manila in Pasay City on Nov. 23.

Like in the previous editions, the search has attracted veterans of national beauty pageants. Among this year’s crop of beauties are 2010 Miss Philippines-Fire Michelle Gavagan, 2012 Binibining Pilipinas semifinalist Karen Gallman and Bb. Pilipinas alumna Roxanne Joy Jesalva.

Apart from the prize package for the winner worth over P750,000, what lures the ladies into the competition is the opportunity to work for a multinational entertainment company, as well as the chance to travel abroad.

Last year, all contestants went on a trip to Singapore via Star Cruises. This year, all 20 aspirants travelled to Hong Kong for a series of activities, also on board the Star Cruises.

With the Miss Resorts World contest now transformed into a modeling competition, Scribbleworks President Tati Fortuna tapped a team of experts headed by sought-after stylist Carmaine Palermo to take charge of the over-all look of the contestants.

“Asia’s Next Top Model” mentor Joey Mead also shared her modeling knowledge with the aspirants.
