How to Get There

FROM Manila, Camarines Norte is six to seven hours away by land. Buses (Philtranco, Superlines and Amihan) leave from their Cubao and Pasay terminals and stop at Daet (fare ranges from P450 to P750).  If you want to cut your travel time, take a 45-minute plane ride to Naga, which is the nearest airport to Daet. From the main bus terminal in front of SM Naga, you can hop on a shuttle van for the two-hour drive to Daet (P150).

Where to Stay

While there are many modest inns catering to backpackers along Bagasbas Beach, Bagasbas Lighthouse Hotel Resort, which opened last March 6, is definitely a cut above the rest. Guests have a choice between cozy container van rooms (P1,750/day) or plush deluxe rooms (P2,450/day) which come with their own TV, mini-bar, bathtub, and most importantly, wifi access!
