With little to no people visiting restaurants these days because of the quarantine, restaurants have begun to think of ways to continue to engage their customers. While most have opted to resume operations for takeout and delivery, and some even putting together home kits for purchase, there are also brands like Shake Shack that have published their recipes for fans to recreate at home.
Shake Shack recently launched their own cooking series called “Shake Shack at Your Shack,” and their first offering is their signature cheese sauce. You’ll only need roughly 30 minutes to whip up the recipe that the burger joint themselves revealed on social media.

Ingredients
2 cups American cheese
2 cups cheddar cheese
1 tbsp canola oil

Instructions
- Heat up a pan and put canola oil, sliced onions, jalapenos, peppercorn and salt. Wait for the onions to become translucent.
- Glaze the pan with white wine and white wine vinegar. After the white wine has been reduced, add heavy cream and turn off the heat. Let it steep for 30 minutes.
- Strain the cream to remove all the solid particles and place it back in the pan. Increase the heat up to a boil.
- Once it starts to boil, add the cheddar cheese and American cheese. Whisk until there are no clumps of cheese left.
