Vizco’s strawberry shortcake all the way from Baguio might just be the next lockdown food trend

There’s something about this quarantine that’s bringing out the sweet tooth in us. We easily jumped on the bandwagon for not only eating, but baking a bunch of ube-flavored pastries, minimalist cakes and viral Tiktok food trends like pancake cereal and mug cakes. Now here’s a viable contender for the popular lockdown menu, strawberry shortcake—courtesy of Baguio City’s famed restaurant and cake shop Vizco’s that has made its way here into Metro Manila.

Through its Facebook account Love, Strawberry, Vizco’s is selling their famed strawberry shortcake (P1,080/six inches, P1,375/eight inches) topped with chunks of farm-fresh strawberries from the country’s strawberry capital, La Trinidad. Also available are their mango cake (P920/six inches, P1,130/eight inches), ube cake (P920/six inches, P1,130/eight inches) and carrot cake (P1,610/eight inches) that are equally as delightful.

If you’re not up for cake but do love the sweet, red fruit, Love, Strawberry also sells fresh strawberries (P100), strawberry milk (P80/350 ml), and homemade strawberry jam (P65/240 ml).

For two consecutive days since July 1,  Love, Strawberry had to close off deliveries due to an already “overwhelming” amount of orders and are now operating at first-message, first-serve basis. So, if you’re interested in ordering, we suggest doing it right now because you’re bound to have some competition.

Love, Strawberry accepts orders on weekdays. Just make sure to visit their Facebook page for updates on availability. To order, message your name, contact number, delivery address, mode of payment (Gcash, UnionBank or BDO). Pickup is also available at their outpost in Quezon City. Orders require a 50 percent down payment and remaining fees will be paid upon delivery or pickup.
