This e-learning how-to video series from VP Robredo is a must-watch for parents and teachers

Students are not the only ones adjusting to the new distance learning system—teachers and parents, especially those who have young kids, also are. That’s why the office of Vice President Leni Robredo launched an instructional video series to help them keep up with the demands of the “new normal” way of schooling.

Titled BAYANIHAN e-SKWELA, the video series “tackle techniques, approaches and other tips for teaching and assisting” students. It is available through YouTube and Facebook and has seven videos as of writing for its first batch.

“The series is one of the key initiatives of the Office of VP Leni Robredo to support learners, teachers, and parents/guardians, as they face changes in learning delivery due to the COVID-19 crisis,” stated the Vice President’s office on the series’ introductory post on Facebook.

“This is a collaboration among academic experts from the UP College of Education and other related institutions, production houses, and other members of the creatives and entertainment industry, who all volunteered their services for the cause,” they added.

Among the personalities who delivered the lessons for the first set of videos are celebrities Janine Gutierrez, Enchong Dee and Saab Magalona-Bacarro and experts from University of the Philippines-Diliman Ani Rosa Almario, PhD, Jon Paul Maligalig, Marian Christine Patriarca, PhD and Jerome Buenviaje, PhD.

Topics covered by the first batch of videos from BAYANIHAN e-SKWELA are orientations and how-tos on project-based learning at home, making video lessons and being an effective education manager.
