Present your usual fare of sandwiches wrapped like pretty giant candy and use patterned, colored wrapping paper as table toppers. The paper table toppers are practical for after-party cleanups. Here’s how:
‘Candy-wrapped’ sandwiches
Materials:
- Clear or colored cellophane
- Wax-coated wrapping paper or thick fiber tissue paper used by florists
- Colored yarn or ribbons
- Sliced loaf bread
- Sandwich filling
- Rolling pin or any smooth cylindrical instrument like a drinking glass
1. GATHER the materials needed.
Roll a slice of loaf bread flat with a rolling pin or drinking glass.
Spread your filling evenly on the flattened bread.
Roll the bread to one side.
Cut your cellophane or wrapping paper/fiber tissue enough to cover the rolled bread, leaving at least two inches on either side.
