Having built a $1 billion dollar company by introducing non-toxic and eco-friendly diapers, Jessica Alba has decided to make the jump from glorified entrepreneur to beauty industry mogul. Based on Honest’s loyal cult following, we’re guessing it’s going to be a hit.
She announced the impending fall 2015 launch of Honest Beauty on her Instagram page yesterday with a photo of herself fronting the campaign beside a racially diverse set of models.
This wouldn’t be her first venture into personal care products, as Honest already carries non-toxic sunscreen spray, deodorant, toothpaste, lip balm, and bath products.
Earlier this month, Gwyneth Paltrow’s own company Goop announced that it would be entering the beauty industry by buying a stake in organic beauty company Juice Beauty.
Not much has been said about whether skincare products would be part of the Honest Beauty line, but based on a photo posted on their Instagram page, makeup will definitely be part of it. So does that mean it’s going to be safe to use on your baby, too?
