Putting a luxurious touch to the usual casual atmosphere of steakhouses, Wagyu Studio emphasizes serving top-notch meals—of course, with indulgent wagyu beef as the star of the show.
“Wagyu is and always will be the centerpiece of the Wagyu Studio,” says operations director Lui Clavano in a press statement. “We believe in preparing high-quality ingredients in most the creative ways, adding to the experience above and beyond our unequaled Wagyu.”
Assuring excellent meals by leading Wagyu Studio’s deluxe kitchen is chef Yoji Kitayama, whose previous experiences include working for luxury hotels like the Hotel Okura Amsterdam and Grand Hyatt Tokyo.
The restaurant’s live kitchen menu boasts of a rich lineup of premium beef cuts served as wagyu sando, yakiniku and rib-eye steaks—which are this restaurant’s signature dishes, by the way. Various decadent dishes such as ikura gohan (Japanese rice bowl with salmon roe), tebasaki (chicken wings) and cheesy gyoza also fill its multi-course tasting menu that will make any Japanese cuisine enthusiast happy.
The exquisite food doesn’t stop at its live kitchen menu, either. Wagyu Studio’s yakiniku lounge prides on having the best beef that they can offer. To complement its selection of sukiyaki and akami (lean), chutoro (semi-fatty) and otoro (fatty) beef yakiniku cuts, this part of the restaurant also serves side dishes like kontobi (nori seaweed), wagyu jerky (black pepper) and kizami wasabi (pickled wasabi.)
There are also starters like edamame (truffle salt) and cured kobe and desserts like milk sorbet and caramel gelato. Both kitchens also have an assortment of sake, red and white wines, cocktails and beer on its beverage menu.
Dining at the live kitchen tasting menu costs P10,000+ per person, while it costs P4,000+ per person at the yakiniku lounge. At Wagyu Studio’s place in Bonifacio Global City, the live kitchen can accommodate 22 persons on a counter seating arrangement while the yakiniku lounge can seat 20 persons and eight more customers on a standing basis.
Aside from these two lounges, Wagyu Studio also has The Butcher Shop, where guests can purchase prime cuts of Japanese beef exclusively imported by the restaurant.
Wagyu Studio is located at Unit 201B 1/F The Finance Centre, 9th Avenue corner 26th Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City
