Tired of corrupt officials pocketing millions of pesos from the national budget? Do you need extra income to go by this pandemic? Well, President Rodrigo Duterte has just the right offer that will solve both these issues.
In a late-night pre-taped address Tuesday, the President enticed citizens to report public officials who engage in corrupt practices, saying, “All you have to do is to let me know. And I have a prize [for you].”
Duterte said an intel can earn you as much as P50,000 to P100,000, depending on the scale of corruption involved.

But wait, there’s more! The President also assured informants that they would be kept anonymous. “I will keep your identity secret until I reach my grave,” he said.
He is also encouraging informants to come forward should the corrupt official harass them.
“I will deal with the devil,” he said. “Yan ang gusto ko. Bumaril ng tao na legal. Kaya kung inaano ka, tinatakot ka, paalamin mo ako. I’d be happy to make you happy, okay?”
So, are you up for the job?
One last thing: payment will be made once the office to which the informant reported the anomaly forwards the intel to the President. Here’s to hoping that line of communication remains open and that payday comes without any trouble.
