These food drives are sending warm meals to #UlyssesPH survivors

Food, safe shelter and potable water are the most basic needs, post-calamity. With people still reeling from the unexpected devastation of typhoon Ulysses, meeting these basic needs can be a struggle. Some organizations and individuals have nonetheless taken it upon themselves to feed survivors. 

Here’s where you can donate to help them get warm meals: 

 

Pagasa Ph

Aside from its main donation drive, Pagasa Ph is organizing a food drive to help feed survivors of typhoon Ulysses. The group is still looking for volunteers who can cook meals and send them over to their headquarters in Quezon City. They will be distributing the meals to their partner communities. 

Pagasa Ph will be shouldering the delivery fee from your area to their office to encourage more people to send food over. To participate, send them a direct message on Instagram for details like pickup points. 

 

Mesa ni Misis

Mesa ni Misis is restarting its Kusina Connection program, which works with local government units (LGUs), private institutions and individuals who want to provide meals for calamity survivors. It’s currently accepting donations in cash (to pay for the meals it would be cooking), and in-kind (in the form of produce, ingredients, and meals).

Burgos Homemade

Burgos Homemade will be donating a portion of its 11.11 sales to people affected by the typhoon. It’s also organizing a food drive to help feed families in Marikina, one of the areas that sustained the most damage from the flood.
