Nov. 24 seems like a good day to treat ourselves to a good meal. Why not, when we can finally enjoy a Michelin-starred lunch with meals from Tim Ho Wan and Hawker Chan without depleting our wallet? Yes, it’s real—and not some hora de peligro fevered dream—because on that day, FooDee Global Concept restaurants will offer all their meals for half their regular prices. Aside from Tim Ho Wan and Hawker Chan, this includes Filipino restaurant Mesa, Hong Kong restaurant Kam’s Roast, burger and flatbread crossover Pound x Flatterie and eyewear and clothing store spin-off coffee shops Sunnies Café and Bench Café.
The catch? The 50 percent-off promo is available only through GrabFood from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Famous for its dimsum and char siu bao, the world-famous Hong Kong restaurant Tim Ho Wan first opened its doors in Manila back in 2014 with a branch in SM Megamall. Since then, it has established a total of seven branches nationwide—with one in Cebu’s SM Seaside City Mall and the rest in Metro Manila’s biggest shopping centers.
Meanwhile, Hawker Chan first made its way here in 2018 with a branch in SM Mall of Asia. Its humble beginning as a hawker stall in Singapore continues to show itself as the restaurant that serves the world’s cheapest Michelin-starred dish.
