If this header photo didn’t make you sing Marco Sison’s song “Si Aida, Si Lorna O Si Fe,” you’re either too young or are living under a rock.
But for sure, you know Auro, the award-winning chocolate maker or perhaps even designer Lesley Mobo, whose colorful terno creations you might have chanced upon on Instagram. In an unlikely collaboration, the Aklan-born designer dresses up a limited-edition collection of Auro Chocolate bars made by French-trained chef Victor Magsaysay.
“Each collectible chocolate box is inspired by the delicate flavors of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao embodied by Mobo’s beautiful Filipina women in “Tropical Ternos” draped in his iconic patterns and designs,” the company said of these bars.
There are three flavors named after the ladies in Sison’s iconic song: Si Aida ng Luzon, a 64 percent dark chocolate with ylang-ylang essence and roasted white chocolate; Si Lorna ng Visayas, a 32 percent white chocolate pandan with peanuts and dried green mango; and Si Fe ng Mindanao, a 50 percent dark milk chocolate vetiver with freeze-dried pineapple and puffed rice. Only a thousand sets containing these flavors plus a free 32 percent mango-pili white chocolate will be sold.

The limited-edition chocolate sets are for a good cause, too. “With each purchase, 15 percent of the proceeds will go to supporting Auro’s agricultural programs in turning Filipino farmers into agri-entrepreneurs,” the chocolatier said.
Si Aida, Si Lorna and Si Fe are available for preorder on Auro’s website. Deliveries will begin Dec. 8.
