LOOK: Here’s what Glorietta looked like back in the ’70s

Lately, we’ve found ourselves looking back at the past more often. There’s a reason they call it the good ol’ days: days gone by may have been just as crazy as now, but time has softened the edges and we’re bound to see them through rose-tinted glasses that make us feel a little warmer inside.

Cities naturally change over the years, but the old haunts still leave memories behind. The younger generation may not know this, but before Glorietta became the sprawling mall it is today, it was a park and a children’s playground.

If you’re up to take a stroll down memory lane (or if you’re just curious as to how pre-mall Glorietta looked like), here are a few pictures from back in the day.

According to Gabriel Cristobal IV, the man who took these snapshots, these photos might encourage other people to share their memories, too. “I’m sure many would appreciate them, too, and, hopefully, entice them to share similar photos of a now bygone period,” he said in a message.
