World-renowned skincare product Olay recently launched its latest tribute to women, “The Olay Conversations,” at Whitespace on Pasong Tamo Ext., Makati City.
The tribute was a series of videos (web episodes or “webisodes”) hosted by Boy Abunda on YouTube.
The intimate, no-holds-barred conversations feature some of the country’s most beautiful women, dahlings.
In one of the videos, Mons Romulo bares the pain she went through when her 21-year marriage ended: “I thought I was the ugliest person in the world. My self-esteem was so low.”
Denise Laurel talks about the unplanned pregnancy when she was at her peak of her acting career.
Boy said: “I don’t know what magic was woven into these webisodes. But these are interviews that are truly different. For some reason, my guests spill their hearts so fearlessly.”
Bea Alonzo, Crickette Tantoco and Priscilla Meirelles invited the mostly women guests at the launch to view “The Olay Conversations” in March.
Check out Olay’s website olay.com.ph, “where women can now conveniently purchase products online and find out more about the different Olay products available for every skin type,” former top model and now marketing and PR consultant Annette Coronel explained to us, palanggas.
Olay’s Total Effects and Regenerist products “deliver accelerated results, and some products have dual fairness and anti-aging benefits,” said Justin Lladoc, Olay brand manager.

Summer 2013 sunglasses
That high-end brand and favorite of world celebrities, especially car racers, Oakley is totally one of the biggest international designer eyewear brands. It launched its Spring and Summer 2013 Collection with a très exclusive gathering of our town’s style icons.
Welcoming us into his very own home was the president of Sunglass Hut, Rajiv Dargani.
“Sunglass Hut’s vision is to be the ultimate fashion destination for the latest designer sunglasses,” said Dargani, palanggas.
“Therefore, we are always the first when it comes to bringing in exclusives and limited-edition items that you can only find in our stores, this is, of course, true to most of our brands, especially Oakley.”
Moi couldn’t help but notice some of the trying-hard invitees who were feeling like “celebrities,” wearing their sunglasses even as night crept in. Bizarre, di bala, palanggas? Oh well.
Breezing around, I noticed Oakley’s “IT” collection has fantastic pieces for both men and women which definitely are the must-haves for this sunny summer.
Oakley is available at GForce and at Sunglass Hut Stores in Newport Mall; Bonifacio High Street; Olympic Village, Alabang; Terminal 3; Robinsons Magnolia and Bacolod; Lucky Chinatown Mall; and Centrio Ayala, Cagayan de Oro.
