Dutch brothers Alex and Han Van Hagen are holding an exhibit of their fourth collaboration showcasing the striking photographs by Alex and exquisite copper etchings by Han.

“Van Hagen & Van Hagen: Brothers in Art” 4 will run until March 10 in the Gallery of Peninsula Manila.

Known in Manila’s elite circle for beautifully capturing the faces and memories of practically every high-profile social gathering, Alex is an ace photographer with a keen eye for detail. In this exhibit, the top lensman will display a different side of his artistic passion with photos of landscapes, cityscapes and still lifes captured from his travels all over Europe and the Philippines.

Han is widely regarded as one of the contemporary masters of copper-etching art throughout Europe. He made his first etches when he studied at Royal Academy for Arts and Design at The Hague. Among his favorite subjects are birds, mummies, cows and bulls, sheep, architecture and history. He is also one of the founders of The Etch-club of The Hague.

Part of the proceeds of the exhibit will benefit Real Life Foundation, an educational-advocacy organization dedicated to serving the poor.
